The property-specific collection of metal packages is supporting recycling. There are already around 10 000 properties sorting metal packages into their own collection bins in Finland. Especially condominium properties tend to generate enough small metal waste to motivate getting a dedicated collection container. Sorting metal packages and other reusable waste into their own collection bins will reduce waste management costs, as the amount of expensive mixed waste is decreased.
