L&T has acquired the drinking water business of Obawater Oy. It consists of distribution and transportation of drinking water in Obawater containers. They are made of acid-proof stainless steel and they range from 1,000 litres up to 21,000 litres. An Obawater container is an efficient stand-by spare water source e.g. for hospitals and big events, and it is also the best and most efficient way to deliver large volumes of water to crisis areas.
No employees will transfer into L&T’s service. Obawater services are provided by L&T’s waste water services unit in Tampere, Finland.
