L&T supplies terminal litter bins to the stations of Dubai Metro which starts operating in September. The bins have been designed and manufactured in Finland. The deal is L&T’s opening in the Middle East market where design and quality are appreciated and construction remains brisk regardless of the recession.
The 75 kilometre long Dubai Metro will be the longest driverless metro network in the world. It is called a five-star metro where special attention has been paid to cleanliness.
L&T’s environmental products, such as litter bins, underground waste containers and compostors, are exported to 25 countries.
