Lassila & Tikanoja has obtained the waste management company Puhtaanapitoliike K Kervinen Oy, based in Imatra, Finland. The seven employees of Puhtaanapitoliike K Kervinen will transfer to L&T’s payroll. The company’s operations will be merged with L&T’s Environmental Services business unit in Imatra by the end of July.
The owners of Puhtaanapitoliike K Kervinen will leave the company after a transition period. ”My wife and I have been working within waste management for over thirty years. Waste management services have developed significantly during this time”, says Kari Kervinen, Managing Director, Puhtaanapitoliike K Kervinen Oy. ”The deal will guarantee continued employment for our staff and we can make sure that our customers receive good service in the future as well.”
L&T employs over 200 environmental management professionals in the South Carelia area. ”This deal enables L&T to offer extended waste management and recycling services to private households and companies in the Imatra area”, says Mikko Honkonen, Product Line Director, L&T. ”We will also be able to provide diversified services in the areas of cleaning, property services, sewage maintenance, industrial cleaning and hazardous waste management to properties and industry in the area.”
Puhtaanapitoliike K Kervinen Oy was founded in 1973. In 2004, the company’s sales volume exceeded € 1.1 million.
