Lassila & Tikanoja and Finnish Road Enterprise have agreed on a joint venture called Salvor Oy specialising in treatment services of industrial by-products, soil remediation and construction of landfill barrier systems. Each party owns 50% of the shares of Salvor.
Salvor has signed agreements on acquisition of the soil remediation and groundwater protection business operations of Lohja Rudus Ympäristöteknologia Oy Ab and the business operations of the Environmental Services Unit of Finnish Road Enterprise.
With the business operation acquisitions about twenty specialists will be transferred to Salvor. Mr Jukka Saarenpää, Licentiate of Science (Technology), Manager of the Environmental Services of Finnish Road Enterprise, has been appointed Managing Director.
The operations of Salvor will cover whole Finland. Estimated net sales for the first operative year are EUR 8 to 9 million. In the future, Salvor will expand its operations to the Baltic region and Russia.
The business operations of Salvor will commence after the approval of the arrangement by the Finnish Competition Authorities.
